The Jack Petchey Foundation

The Jack Petchey Foundation was established by the successful East London entrepreneur, Jack Petchey, in 1999. It is a young, progressive grant making Trust based in Ilford Essex.

It is now among the largest and most influential London charitable foundations. It focuses on projects and programmes that benefit 11-25 year olds. The main area of operation is the London boroughs and Essex, where it currently operates in 1600 secondary schools and youth clubs. There are smaller programmes elsewhere.

We are currently reviewing our priorities for Project Grants and Sponsorship. Please refer to the Grants Page for latest update.

In addition to more traditional grant making functions, JPF plans to continue to introduce and develop new, far reaching programmes that benefit young people such as "Petchey's Speak Out Challenge", which is probably the largest youth speaking programme in the world.

LORD MAYOR’S SHOW SATURDAY 8 NOVEMBER 2008
2007 saw the Jack Petchey Foundation enter the Lord Mayor’s Show for the very first time. It was a great success and, as a result, the Foundation will once again be entering the parade in 2008
- we are looking for young people to take part.
The theme of our entry this year is UNITY. The ability of young people, across London, to bridge the racial and ethnic divide.

Have you got what it takes to perform on the West End Stage?

If you think so, then now is your chance to prove it. The Jack Petchey Foundation is looking for London’s best young theatrical talent so if you’re aged between 16 and 25 and live within one of the 8 participating boroughs, then we want to meet you. We don’t care what your background is – its raw talent and commitment we’re looking for.
