Canvey Island Youth Project: Creative Arts Youth Worker (Intern)

An exciting position has become available within CYP Yellow Door for a full-time Creative Arts Youth Worker (Internship).

In your role, you will engage and support young people through creative arts projects and programmes within our clubs and activities, fostering their personal, social, and artistic development. The role involves planning and delivering arts-based activities that inspire creativity, build confidence, and encourage positive participation. You will collaborate with colleagues, young volunteers, the local community, and other organisations to create inclusive and accessible opportunities for young people. You will also provide mentorship and guidance, helping young people explore their talents and achieve their potential in a supportive environment.

ELHAP: Communications Officer (Internship)

The Communications Officer (Internship) is a brand-new position at ELHAP, designed to help promote our services and impact, raise our profile and enhance our digital presence – so that our charity can grow to meet the rising demand for our services. The role will report to the Fundraising Manager, but will work closely with the wider ELHAP staff and volunteer team. This internship is part-funded by the Jack Petchey Internship Programme.

BIGKID Foundation is looking for a vibrant, sociable, creative intern to join its dynamic team of world shakers to help run our in-school leadership programme, Breaking Barriers.  We are looking for someone who loves to make a difference in the lives of young people, being a key figure and role model for the students we engage with. 

Our Breaking Barriers leadership programme is delivered in schools across London, targeting young people at risk of exclusion, or otherwise vulnerable due to concerns around mental health and well-being.As a Facilitator, you will have a passion for seeing young people succeed, alongside strong public speaking skills.

The successful applicant will work alongside our established youth team to help us grow our youth services across Southend, while experiencing the full range of activities and skills needed in the day-to-day running of a youth service.

Lambourne End Centre in partnership with the Jack Petchey Foundation are looking for Health and Wellbeing Programme Development Intern to research and develop new initiatives. The purpose of this role is to develop programmes that specifically promote improved health and wellbeing using our outdoor learning environment; to pilot a variety of health and wellbeing focused programmes run at different times for varying groups of young people to help the Centre engage effectively with more young people and increase its ability to deliver meaningful programmes that help address the increase in poor mental health and wellbeing among young people.

Laburnum Boat Club: Community Paddlesport Assistant (Intern)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team and assist with the delivery of paddlesports sessions across our Clubs and services, to assist more young people to engage with our formal and informal activities, get active and improve their physical and mental wellbeing. The role does not need any prior qualifications, as NGB training and qualifications will be provided, but a passion for outdoor activities and helping young people to achieve their goals and become the best that they can be is a must.  The post holder will engage members of our Youth Club; Sports Clubs for young people with disabilities; Family Club; school groups and others and will work alongside our highly experienced and qualified staff team to deliver canoeing, kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboarding and narrowboating activities, day and residential trips, mentoring young people within the Club throughout and helping the Youth Work team to provide holistic youth work through outdoor activities.

The purpose of this role is to develop, implement, and oversee programmes and initiatives that engage young people at Legacy Youth Zone including a youth voice forum. This role aims to create a safe, inclusive, and vibrant environment where young people can thrive, develop skills, and actively participate in their community.  

In addition to supporting youth engagement for the organisation, this role will celebrate the inclusivity and diversity of the youth zone by developing and delivering an engaging programme of events and themes for young people, by young people. This role will form part of the recreational youth work team and work 5 sessions a week across the youth zone during the universal sessions which will help encourage relationships, opportunities to hear first-hand from young people and, with the recreational area being the heart of the youth zone, be at core of the offer and meet young people at their point of need.

Magpie Dance is excited to be joining up with The Jack Petchey Foundation Internship programme to employ a Marketing & Projects Intern for twelve-month paid internship starting in March 2025. The successful candidate must be available to take up the post by Monday 24 March 2025.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about our work to provide inclusive dance opportunities to young people with learning disabilities, and who wants to use and develop their amazing organisational and administrative skills to support our office. The Marketing & Projects Intern will provide administrative support for Senior Management team and Magpie Dance’s Youth program, as well as supporting our marketing and fundraising. They will assist in coordinating and supporting the delivery of Magpie Dance’s Artistic theme including events, out-reach work and performances.
