The Jack Petchey Foundation is celebrating the launch of our 2025 Impact Report, which details the successes of the 2023-2024 academic year. The Foundation is celebrating one of its most successful years to date with the launch of its 2025 Impact Report. We invested over £9.3m in programmes for young people across London and Essex over this period.
The Jack Petchey Foundation was founded by Sir Jack Petchey CBE in 1999. Sir Jack set up the charity to inspire, motive and celebrate the achievements of young people. 2024 was a significant year for the Foundation with the death of Sir Jack in June 2024, alongside celebrating the 25th anniversary since he set it up.
At the Jack Petchey Foundation it is our mission to create an environment where all young people have high aspirations, fulfil their potential, and have a positive impact on society. We want to further improve our work so that we can positively impact even more young people, which is a journey that begins by reflecting on what we have achieved and how we can do even more.
Gemma Juma, Chief Executive of the Jack Petchey Foundation, said of results: “We are proud to have once again increased our reach over the last academic year, making it one of our most successful years to date. This growth means we are closer to achieving our vision that every young person is celebrated and can realise their potential. I never cease to be impressed by the young people of London and Essex, who have such incredible talent and ambition, achieve so much and strive to benefit others in innumerable ways. It is the privilege of all at the Foundation to be able to continue Sir Jack’s legacy, making a difference to as many young people as possible long into the future.”
By working with every mainstream school and college, and youth organisation, the Foundation can achieve its mission of providing opportunities for young people across London and Essex to build their skills, their confidence and their voice, so they can fulfil their potential and have a positive impact on society.
If you know any schools or youth groups not currently on our flagship Achievement Award Scheme, direct them to this page to illustrate the impact we make to young people across London and Essex.
If your school or youth group is part of the scheme but you want to get more from it, read this brochure that outlines all of the grants and programmes that we run.

We want to thank all of the incredible young people that make up London and Essex. We couldn’t achieve everything that we do without the dedication of young people.
